If you are a Mexican national and your sister passed away in a border town you wont need much as you know to to get in to your country. You know what you need to get back.

If you fly, you must have a passport, if you travel by LAND, you need a photo I.d.and birth certificate if you are a U.S. citizen.  If you are a green card holder, you need that card and your passport   from your home country to fly, or your green card and photo I.D. to go by land.  I hope things work out well for you.
