I like fresh choice. :)  At most restraunts now of days there is many choices for vegans.

If you're looking for great vegetarian food and some meat foods go to a local Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurant.  They have falafel, baba ganoush, tabouleh, hummus, and dolmas for vegetarians and vegans, and kebabs and gyros for meat-eaters.  Everyone will be pleased at this meal.  I usually compromise and go to a place with ample foods for both sides when it's my birthday.  

You're sister may be different though.  Some vegetarians only go to vegetarian restaurants but most likely she will be happy with the idea that everyone can be satisfied.

Also look at Indian and Ethiopian places, as these also have tons of veggie and meat dishes.
