My sister?

My sister is a couple months old, she has a fascination with the chandeliers in my house. The funny thing is, she doesn't care if the lights on the chandelier are on or off. She just stares at it with a passion. Is this common?

  1. AW BABES...THIS IS TOTALLY & 100% NORMAL.

YOU SEE...IT IS THE "SPARKLIE" THAT SHE & ALL BABIES ENJOY.

THIS IS WHY IT DON'T MATTER WHETHER OR NOT THE LIGHT IS ON. THE LIGHT BEING ON WOULD ACTUALLY SET OFF A MORE AWESOME EFFECT...BUT, WE DON'T KNOW BECAUSE THEIR SO YOUNG, THEY CAN'T SPEAK SO THEY CAN'T TELL US THIS. BUT "WE" KNOW. ;) LOL

(CAUTION WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON AS THE BRIGHTNESS COULD HURT HER LIL, STILL FORMING SIGHT)

SO DO TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU...THIS IS 100% NORMAL!

HANG A SET OF "BUSY" KEYS ABOVE HER TO LOOK AT. (BUSY= MANY ITEMS ON THE KEYCHAIN) AND WATCH HER STARE AT IT IN AMAZEMENT!

PLUS...SHE IS ONLY A COUPLE MONTHS OLD...THEIR EYES ARE STILL TRYING TO FOCUS. SO THIS IS ALSO WHY THEY FIND "SHINY, SPARKLIE" THINGS FASCINATING.

    IT'S REALLY KEWL. :D

  2. yes it's common in babies, perfectly normal. i seee my niece doing it. well they can't walk or do any other physically activities yet so they stare at the ceiling and in ur sister's case there is a chandelier so she stares. btw she is very very very cute :)

u can do something to distract her i guess, like play with her or something.

  3. That is so cute!, and Very normal, it is all of the reflections! How great is that??

  4. Lots of kids have this. When I was little, mine was the mechanical waterfalls in a park. It's that "I don't know what that is, but it's cool" thing. Babies and small kids are fascinated by things that dangle, like earrings. It's normal, nothing to worry about.

  5. lol its shiny thats y she likes it. babies like all shiny things really

  6. Wow... This is really weird!

My nephew did the same thing with our chandeliers.

    Must be a baby thing!

  7. Children in their infancy fall in love with anything on a ceiling, a. because they are constantly on their backs, b. because it's in their line of vision, and c. it's "pretty"...

absolutley normal, get her a mobile :) she'll love it!

  8. it shouldnt be nothing to worry about, itd jus be like her staring at her mobile in her cot, but beaware when the lights are on x x
