She's really fast. But we don't know how to go about getting her into the 2012 Olympics. We live in central Florida. What do we need to do?

  1. Well if she's on a swim team and has got a coach, talk to the coach. If she is as good as you say she is, people will be searching for her to be part of the Olympic team. She shouldn't have to look for them.

  2. i sugest u should search google and they might have some answers for u

  3. Your sister needs to join a USS (United States Swimming which is the organizing agency for swimming in the US) swim team.  Then, she'll need to achieve certain established USS time standards to qualify for the Olympic trials.  Then, at the trials, she'll have to be one of the top two swimmers as only two get to go to the Olympics representing the USA.  In a few events, they take the top 6 swimmers as they need 4 for a relay (and have two extras just in case).

Here is a website from the USS swimming website, that lists swim clubs in Florida.  Find the drop down list for LSC (Local Swim Committee) and look for Florida.

  4. Well you need to raise a LOT of money, get her a good coach at a gym, and go to a trial and train a lot.

  5. She needs to be one of the top 10 fastest swimmers in the whole country. Not just "really fast" but world class fast. Then she needs to enter and win every swimming competition imaginable so that someone on the Olympic committee takes notice. If they invite her to compete, she needs to be better than all the swimmers with years and years of competitive experience behind them.

If she starts now, she might be ready by 2016 - forget about 2012.
