This morning when i woke up there were little babies swimming all over the tank. So I bought a 5 gal tank and put them in it with a little filter and some fake grass. They seem to be doing good. How long will it take for them to start growing? and will my silver molly really keep giving birth every 4 weeks??????

  1. Your molly will continue to give birth about every month, up to 5-6 times, from a single mating. Good luck.

  2. wow you have done great,i have dalmatian mollies and i had to do a lot of dashing around to get just 3 and i put them in a tank with plants and filter plus a heater they are 4 weeks old now and getting quite big.they are so cute. i put a little aquarium salt in the water as they appreciate a little in their water .i have found no more as yet but then they could be eaten or are hiding as they are very good at that x*x

  3. Congrats!

Mom and dad will start eating them... separating them was a good idea. Feed the babies with very fine fish food and they will grow quickly in the next few weeks. When the babies are too big to swallow put them back in the community tank with mama.

Yes, mama molly will have babies on a regular schedule. And soon the babies will have babies!  Buy a bigger tank or sell them to the local pet store. :)

  4. my guppie had babies once (all but one were eaten b4 i saw them lol) and i put her in a cup lol and she grew almost full size in about a month and a half. if you recently got your molly, it cud b that they accedently got some eggs in the bag too, so u probally wont get more babies. if u have a boy molly then you cud get more babies idk
