  1. Hello,

You might want to speak with Sky who might be able to give you some good advice, but if that doesn't help they will probably ask you if you would like an engineer to come and fix the problem if they do say no because the engineer will charge £65, but you could if you want to.

Although your better off going on eBay and buying a digibox for £15 - £30.

    Good luck.

  2. i have has same problem many times if its original sky box its a fault with there systems they wont admit it but websites have proved it. If youve had it less than a year they'll give u a free replacement, however sky+ boxes have no problem whatsoever.

in the 1st year of having a standard sky box i had 6 different boxes.

whereas with sky + ive only had it replaced once in 3 years and thats because i broke it (dropped it)

I suggest you ring up sky on (techinical support number)08442 41 14 11

    Hope this helps you

  3. Switch the receiver off at the mains. Press and hold the backup button on the front of the receiver (not the remote control) Keep the button held and power the receiver back up. After 5-10 seconds all the lights on the front display will come on. You can now release the backup button. If your receiver is connected via scart lead you will see a message on screen. After about 10-20 mins your box will switch back into standby. Switch your receiver back on and see if your problem still occurs.
