Question:

My snake is acting weird?

i just moved about 2 weeks ago and i brought my snake hes acting weird like climbing on the roof and trying really hard to get out and he just ate yesterday i left his tank i had him in a ten gallon tank but now hes in a 8 gallon one could that be y hes so stressed any ideas please help

  1. * It could be wanting to breed my males do that every year. How long is it? 3 feet or more? You may need a bigger tank for it. I had a female that would do that and she just wanted to eat again so I up the size of mice and she was fine then, good luck.


  2. A yearling is a little young to think of breeding and it's very late in the year for that kind of behavior.  It's possible that the smaller tank is stressing him. Why did you go down in size?  He's going to need a larger tank very soon as even a 10 gl. is pushing it after a year depending upon his size.  If it's warmer than usual he may have become more active also. Make sure your cage temps aren't excessive.

  3. corn snake are escape artist ...so hes just being normal
