  1. You've only had her for a couple of days if memory serves me correctly...

Let her get used to her new home for at least a week. She'll do a lot of hiding and tunneling, especially now that you just brought her home. A snake isn't a puppy that comes out and wants to play as soon as you get out of the car with it.

  2. mine is like that too.....corn snakes are not active in the day time but if you watch them at night with all the lights out the you would be amazed because if will never stop moving around the tank and climbing on everything

    corn snakes are great

  3. They are shy creatures and being nocturnal will naturally hide during the day.  She'll be more active after dark.  Do NOT use dirt!  This is not safe or healthy for snakes.  Use Aspen instead...they love to burrow tunnels in it.  Do you have a heat mat under the tank?  They must have this.  Set the temp to 85F with a thermostat or dimmer switch.  Give her time to settle down.  Don't even try to feed for at least a week.  Join the forums for lots more info:

  4. Baby corn snakes like to hide a lot. When I held one at the pet store, the person had to lift up the water dish to get one and there were all of them laying there. I have an albino Motley Pattern corn snake. Don't worry, she'll come out either before or after she sheds for the first time.
