  1. endurance is the key

set a perfect pace and stick with it

i run track and i know that it sux @ss

    good luck

  2. cheat or your f*cked

  3. Plenty of suggestions here. Some are good advice and others not.

As far as doing it, what normally happens is that you go and run the first bit too fast and then you struggle at the end.

My advise is to break the distance up into the 4 laps. If you run 90 seconds for each lap, that will give you 6 minutes.

My experience is that the first lap you should be really trying to run 85-90 secs, then lap 2 try and maintain that pace - see if you can stretch out a bit down the straights by relaxing, the 3rd lap will be the toughest so even break this down to 4 x 100m and really really concentrate on your running, the last lap just go for it and hopefully your competitiveness comes through.

If you get some running in before then that will make things easier.

  4. well thats a 6 minute mile so if your in shape it shouldnt be too bad just pace yourself and try to get in shape

  5. run with a pace, dont close your fist, keep your fingers strait, it saves energy, and think about running, dont think about being tired

  6. run away? doctors note that you can't run it?

  7. Cut the corners like i do!

  8. run fast,lol just kidding

you have to work at it, but basically run as hard as you can for thise 6 mins! if you work out often it should get easier.

  9. sprint first lap jog second sprint third jog last its running intervals so every other lap your body gets a rest to regain for that sprint lap which helps you run easier and faster

  10. dont eat a heavy meal beforehand, but do eat

    warm-up properly.

tell yourself that you only have to do it once and give it all you got

sing a song in your head to distract yourself from the run

dont start out sprinting... you'll tire out quickly

  11. pace yourself don't start strong cause you'll end weak. try and practice jog around your block and keep hydrated. good luck kid

  12. If you mean track as in the tracks around soccer/football fields, 4 laps is the equivalent of 1 mile. If you can't run a mile in 6 minutes, that's sad.

  13. Take it slower in the beggining so your saving your energy and at the end run as fast as you can :]

  14. practice running (a mile) around your neighborhood, and some do speed workouts, and when you actually have to run your 4 laps, pace yourself.

  15. Run as fast as you can the last two laps

  16. Assuming you can run a 6-minute mile, you need to memorize your splits and concentrate on running 4 consecutive 90-second laps.

Fact is, I can't imagine anyone being cut for not running a 6-minute mile when that has little to do with the many other skills involved in the game.  I coached a kid one time who was the slowest on the team in a 100-yard dash.  Make it a 10-yard dash and he left everyone behind.  He was amazingly quick for a short distance.

    Good Luck

  17. that is a little harsh lol.. but never run super fast in the beginning i always do that and i get tired SUPER fast

  18. run fast
