My social security survivor benefit ended in sept 2007.I got a part time job .now they say I owe them 2588.oo?

Now they say that I was over the earnings limit.At the time my benefits ended NO I WAS NOT; it's why I went to work.Now they say they will take from the benefit that I get for my daughter...which has no earnings limit.

I'm sorry, the SS is above us all i believe you have to be very diligent and talk to them and stay in touch with them daily don't give up maybe even a lawyer. i feel they only see things black and white not out of the box show all the proof they ask for and good luck like i said before I'm sorry your going through this I'm just starting to try to get money and I'm loosing my house before it going to ever get done and i have lived here for 8 years its sad but that's life i guess the government does not care anymore they have other problems i guess.
