At my son's school they have two kindergarten classes; should I invite both classes? The two classes do things together and he Knows alot of the kids in the other class. I'm worried that no one will show up to his party and I thought there is better chance of alot of kids showing if i invited both classes

  1. then yes invite them.

  2. I would invite both, just because I know at my school students always have a low turn-out.  The more the merrier, right?!?

  3. A 5 yr old should only have 5 friend at the party

the rule of thumb is friends=age

  4. yea invite them they bring presents and money for your baby

  5. invite his closest friends of each class. if he HAS TO invite an entire class then i would invite both if he knew kids in both classes well. trust me, crowded birthday parties are not too fun, its busy and its messy. if possible, try to keep it to the smallest group of kids possible. the smaller it is, the more expensive things you can do like go to a waterpark or something. if you choose to invite a bunch of kids i suggest having a nice day at the park with a BBQ or a day at the zoo with other chaperones. have fun!

  6. We invited the whole class and all but 2 children showed up.  So, I don't know how many kids are in the classes you're talking about....but are you prepared to have 40-45 kids at your house if they all show up?  In our case, we didn't care - the more the merrier.  The house was mess at the end and we were tired - but everyone was happy and no one felt left out.  That being said, next year I think we'll scale it down a bit.

  7. I would single out a few intimate friends and invite them outside of school.

For the big group.....How about catoring lunch for his class as a treat?  Bring pizza and drinks to school on his birthday.  Serve them on cool plates of his favorite cartoon character. Don't do a cake or sing happy birthday at school, as this might nix the idea with his teacher.  That way, he has a special event to share with his friends.  The real party can be smaller and include just his best friends.
