My son keeps getting really bad nose bleeds, we had to wait for it to clot the last time it happened. His not picking his nose so we've got no idea what's causing them. Would you take him to the doctors?

  1. Hm. If it keeps happening a lot, and it takes a long time to stop the

bleeding, I would definitely take him to the doctors. He could have

    Hepatitis C - I doubt it, but it's possible! Best wishes ♥

  2. could be a number of things.....what is the climate like where you live?...if it is dry then this could be the problem....the membranes in his nose get dry and crack thus causing his nose to bleed...also blood thinners like aspirin or other clot preventing medications can cause nose bleeds....my son gets them sometimes and on occasion they have been severe enough to have to take him to the emergency room and have his membranes in his nose cauterizedl....he should go to the doctor or emergency room if he has a lot of blood loss and/or if he feels dizzy, lightheaded, or faints (presumably from blood loss)
