So, we haven't used our pack and play for months, and we just took it out today and it smells awful! Like spoiled milk, baby spit up... and just plain old nastiness. I sprayed it with antibacterial cleaner, wiped it down, and then sprayed fabreeze but it still stinks... any suggestions?

  1. clean it

  2. BURN IT!!

  3. Bleach mixed with water (read the back of the bleach bottle for the proper ratio) in a spray bottle.  Spray liberally and allow to soak at least ten minutes for disinfecting.  I would then take it outside and blast it with the water hose and allow it to dry in the sun.  A bleach solution used properly and rinsed will be perfectly safe for your son.

If you do opt to get rid of it, don't just throw it in the trash.  See if a local animal rescue, shelter or humane society could use it. You can do a good deed and help keep it out of the landfill.

  4. can the fabric be taken off anyway to be washed, we do it all the time to my neices car seats

  5. through it out if you can't find any other reasons it smells.

  6. take it out in the backyard and hose it down and scrub it with anti-bacterial soab then go to ur supermarket and look for zorbex* it pulls the smell right out of things or color safe bleach if that dosent work throw it out if it smells to u then it stinks to him his nose is more sensative then yours!!

  7. toss it out and buy ur son a NEW one!!!!!!!

  8. i would use 409 and wipe it all down then i would mix some liquid fabric softner  wish some water and spray it on there and wipe it down .  let it sit out side to dry. or use baking soda to wipe it down

  9. Throw it away and stop locking your child up in kiddie jails.

  10. bleach the c**p out of it or throw it away.

  11. throw it out, and get another one. OR GET FABREEZ. dont bleach it because your kids might get very sick from the smell. JUST THROW IT AWAY

  12. throw it away

  13. Get a new one asap. You can find some at target or walmart that aren't uber expensive. If you want to get some of those fancy ones look online and order one. You don't need to keep something dirty and smelly. =)

  14. i would get rid of it because it would be really hard to get those smells out.

  15. well you should probably buy a new one if its that bad

  16. I would add 1/2 cup borax to warm soapy water. Take it outside and scrub it with this mixture. After thoroughly scrubbing it, hose it down or rinse it. Then spray with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts water. Let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse again. Get off as much water as you can and let it dry in the sun.

  17. I would clean it really well, with lots of hot soapy water.... rinse well and let it dry in the sun.... sunshine is a natural germ killer and the fresh air will let it dry completely and the smells will be gone.

  18. Next time clean up spilled milk and baby vomit before folding it up.   The best odor remover is sunshine and fresh air.  If that doesn't work, chunk it.

  19. Purple Fabuloso.  Full strength if possible and then let it air out, outside.

If that doesn't kill the smell, then I don't know what will.

You may just have to buy a new one.
