In which all of the kids dress up as a character from a book, and tell the name of the book and author. We have a skeleton costume that he wants to wear, but we are having a hard time coming up with a children's book which he can use? Any ideas?

  1. Funny Bones by Janet & Allan Ahlberg

The Skelton Inside you by Philip Balestrino

Skeleton Hiccups by Margery Cuyler (we actually own this book)

  2. You could stop by the library and find a kid's book on the body, where they have a picture of a skeleton and then base it on that.

  3. You really are doing this backwards, which is missing the point of the exercise!

    However,

Adventures of the Bailey School Kids #11: Skeletons Don't Play Tubas

The Mystery at Skeleton Point (Boxcar Children Mysteries)

Raw Head, Bloody Bones by Lyons, Mary E.

Skeleton On The Skateboard by Stone, Tom

    Skeleton Key by Anthony Horowitz

Hair of the Skeleton, by Pamela Freeman

Sammy Keyes and the Skeleton Man by Wendelin Van Draanen

  4. ohh. cool i used to do that in elementary school.

    haha its was fun!

  5. You are going about this backwards.  You are supposed to find a book he likes and find a way to dress up him (or make props, etc) for the book.

Start by making a list of all the books he really likes, then whittle it down to ideas and stuff you have for those books.

  6. Skeleton Hiccups by Margery Cuyler (Author), S.D. Schindler (Illustrator)

The skeleton character is portrayed in a friendly light - non-threatening and non-scary. Suffering from hiccups, the skeleton hopes for a cure. His friend, a ghost, comes up with an ingenious cure. Kids find the story silly and funny. A joy to read aloud!

    He loves it.

  7. The magic school bus has many books with different themes.

The teacher dresses up in a costume in one book. I'll come back with the title. hold on =]

your only problem is, it might not be in your childs age category. What grade is he in?
