  1. Tell him to shave with hot water from the shower, clean up with baby wipes and to use a gentle aftershave. I had the same problem, except it wasn't acne but my skin still had breakouts. Finally, advise him not to shave so frequently to give the skin some time to recover. Personally, I do it once a week or even twice if the occassion requires it. However I take my time, use hot water from the showerhead, clean the skin with moist baby wipes or towelettes, and finish off with a gentle aftershave lotion, not cream. Good luck.

  2. Try NOT using an electric shaver.  My husband has that problem & he uses regular plastic disposible razors. Hope this helps.

  3. he most likely had ingrown hairs...after he shaves tell him to wash with a scrub with salycic acid in it.

  4. there's a great product  called skin tight

  5. the red areas are shaving rash

  6. could be several issues,: type of razor, does he have acne that needs to be treated, could be inflamed hair follicles, could be from not having enough shaving cream if he uses a razor, could also be from using a razor that is dull.

  7. it is razor burn what i would suggest is after shave to rub alcohol on face it sting for about 3 seconds but will prevent the red bumps

  8. All in all, I don't think the shaving necessarily has anything to do with it directly. Indirectly, though, shaving just irritates the skin which is causing the break outs. Basically, other than buying some type of product, your son just has to try and keep his face clean...you know, oil free. I'm sure, though, in time his body will adjust.
