I have a 13 year old son and he asked me to buy him a male thong! Should i buy it for him? He said he wanted a g-string style. He said he'd get it on-linee if i let him use my credit card. Is it ok. Will he become sexually active if i buy him one because he might feel sexier or more confident. I think I might buy him a few. What do you think. Help!

A) Your underwear does not make you more or less sexually active. Kids of 13 and 14 think about s*x most of the time, especially boys.  Underwear is not going to change that.

B) Your son wearing a thong will not make him g*y, but if his friends find out they may tease him.  You should warn him about that, but not in a negative way.  Don't say "You will be sorry when your friends find out", rather tell him how to deal with people who hold adverse opinions.  

So get him a thong or two.  Make sure they were made and cut for men, and preferably get simple plain mainly colors, black, blue and red.

Don't worry about it changing his sexual identity. What you wear does not define your sexual orientation.  Many perfectly straight young men now wear thongs.

even if he really did want one because he thought they looked good...most of his class mates won't. I personally see it as a chastity belt. :) No, but really, they need to learn to express themselves and maybe this would be a good time to sit down and ask him exactly why he wants one. Teens get curious about s*x and clothes that make them feel s**y.  But 13 is a little too young for a thong.  Tell him he needs to wait a few years and see if he is still interested.  Have you asked him why he wants one?  Have you had the s*x talk yet?  You might want to have a serious discussion with him about this.  Teens need info to keep them out of trouble.  Don't assume he knows.
