  1. consult a psychologist

  2. it's just his personality, just the way he is...

    nothing wrong with him...

  3. I think is normal . i myself too like day dreaming . Imagination is good but my mum often say that imagination is good but too much imagination may not be so good . but afterall  daydreaming may come true one day ... Who knows ???

  4. Well, children with great imaginations do daydream a lot.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless it becomes a problem.  It may be that he's bored with certain types of school work and does the daydreaming to entertain himself, escape the boring material.  Maybe he needs a challenge.

At this point, I would monitor his situation, in case things worsen.  Then you can take him to a child  psychologist for testing if you wish and think the behavior warrants it.

  5. There could be so many reasons why he does this.  You don't provide a lot of information, like his age, are there problems in the family?  etc.

It could be that he is young and just doesn't have the attention span his peers do.  It could be his diet, does he eat a lot of processed foods, processed carbs?  Do you think he is bored in class and needs to be in a more engaging environment?  Is he preocupied with something?

  6. There is nothing wrong with daydreaming.  It could be a sign of great creativity.  I don't know how old your son is or what grade he is in but sometimes this can also be a sign of boredom.  If his mind wanders frequently then he may not be challenged enough in the classroom.  He sound very bright from what you have said so this sounds like a very valid explanation.
