  1. Have you been to your child's school cafeteria? If you do you will know that it is hard for those people who serve what every child could not eat. They serve so many children  and usually it's up to the child what group of food he will eat. And normally, they have to eat in 30 minutes and they go back to their respective class. If you have certain food restrictions on what your son eats, it's better for you to pack his lunch. That  way, you are certain that he won't get the wrong food.

  2. Pack him a bag lunch with dairy free foods, stores such as "Trader Joe's" usually have many dairy-free alternatives to all sorts of foods.

Fruits, PB&J, etc. are things that are available at any store.

  3. Then go in and clarify it with them.  Schools I was at were always careful to abide by the food rules, but I can see a mistake happening.  Luckily, nothing terrible happened.

Take the time to double check to make sure the school understands your particular dietary needs for your child.  It sounds like a mistake this time.  Don't go in angrily...just go in and remind them.

    Matt

  4. Talk to the administator or send your child their own lunch.

  5. Start by having him drag a gallon of orange juice to school everyday for lunch. Or just pack his lunch.
