My son fell off his bike yesterday in school. there is a cut under his chin. and now his chin is swollen?

i have cleaned the cut yesterday . but its swollen today. he says it hurts, and he can't eat because of that. i am giving him milk, and he eats bread and butter . but he won't put spoon in his mouth . his right side of his lips, and right side of his face a bit swollen. when will it go down?

There is bound to be some swelling. To bring out the bruising apply a cold water swab or witchhazel. He may have also hit his teeth when falling which will be painfull for him. If there is any reddness around the cut it could be infected. Take him to the doctor for good advice. Also try soup/soft boiled egg for a change from b&butter. I hope the school notified you as soon as it happened. If he hasn't had his anti-tet jab(s) he may need one

You can use an ice pack to help bring down the swelling. It shoudl be gone in a day or two. Face muscels swell really badly because we use them so much.
