  1. Please get your Puppy to a Vet! Look in phone book for a 24hr Clinic! At her age even just a few could be a large amount!

Raisin and Grape Toxicity in Dogs:

"If your dog has ingested large quantities of raisins or grapes, (s)he will immediately begin to vomit repeatedly, and will become extremely hyperactive and jittery.  After about 24 hours, the dog will become lethargic and depressed.  (S)he may experience abdominal pain and may stop urinating, drinking, and/or eating.   (S)he will also become dehydrated.  Both his/her vomit and f***s will contain partially digested raisins or grapes.  His/her breathing may become irregular, and (s)he will also become hypercalcemic (high calcium concentrations) and hyperphosphosphatemic

Ultimately, without treatment, the dog will go into renal (kidney) failure, and may die a horrible very painful death.

If you suspect your dog has eaten a large amount of raisins or grapes, take your dog to a veterinarian immediately, and have them contact the Animal Poison Control Center for assistance.  Have your veterinarian initiate decontamination measures, and administer fluids and/or dialysis to assist/restart the dog’s kidneys.

Information on raisin and grape toxicity is still very new; therefore, your veterinarian and fellow dog owners may not yet be aware of the danger.   Please pass on this information to every dog owner, veterinarian, rescue group, breeder, newsletter, listserve, and pet food store you can."

My thoughts will be with your Baby! Please love her up from All of Us!

  2. Grapes are toxic to dogs.  Normally a couple wouldn't be a huge problem, but since the pup is so young and small I would be concerned.  Watch her very carefully, and if she shows so much as the slightest problem call the vet right away!

  3. Grapes are toxic to dogs. It depends on the size of your puppy. When I eat grapes I share HALF OF ONLY 1 GRAPE to my 6 month old pug. He really enjoys them but I get worried at times (but nothing happened because it was only 1 grape) But I think you shouldnt give her grapes any more

  4. i feed my dogs grapes... if she looks sick then call your vet.

  5. My Jack Russell used to eat grapes all the time, and oranges before I found out he wasn't supposed to. I believe the puppy will have to eat more then a few to get toxicity from grapes. But keep an eye on her, if you see her dry heaving or throwing up then take her in. More then likeyly she will be ok but trust your instincts and if you think she is not acting right or looking good take her in.

  6. as long as it was just a few, he'll be fine.  But if it was a lot you def need to call your vet.  Grapes r toxic to dogs.  Raisins however r MUCH WORSE!!  Monitor your dog, any signs of distress call your vet

  7. Call your vet to check. White grapes are worse than purple ones. Neither is healthy. Depends on the size of your pup.

  8. the puppy should be fine but for more info you should yahoo or google it

  9. She might be okay, but if you notice odd behavior or that your dog has been urinating a lot or not urinating often then he could have bladder or kidney stones. My family used to feed my dog grapes all the time and he had bladder stones and we had to get him 1000$ surgery to remove them.
