Question:

My son get real bad green mucus in this eyes. What is this? And how do you cure it?

  1. More than likely he has an eye infection. He needs to go to the doctor and get some medication.

  3. This is not sinusitis.  There is infection somewhere.  If the tear duct had been blocked, there would have been constant tearing.  Take your son to his pediatrician and soon.  He has an eye infection.

  4. Sounds like a sinus infection.

    His normal pediatrician can determine if he needs antibiotics to treat it.  I would take him in sometime this week.

  5. It is possible his tear ducts are blocked. My daughter was born with blocked ducts and her eyes were a mess for her first six months. If they didn't open up on their own she'd have had to have surgery...which is nothing major, just probing the ducts to open them under anesthesia. I would take him to an opthalmologist (not optometrist).  May turn out to be something as simple as allergies too.
