My son got a penny that is only printed on half of the circle of copper.?

My son got a penny that was printed on only half of the circle of copper. The coin itself looks like two moons stuck together. The date however is not on the coin. Can anyone please tell me if this coin is worth anything?

I can. It is. (if US coin). You might take it to a coin dealer for an appraisal (ask if you sold it, what would a dealer pay?)

Most likely it is an off centered cent but can be faked so a dealer needs to see it. See more than one and make sure he also deals in error coins. If not go to one that does, or you will not get a proper answer or value.
