  1. Things You’ll Need:

    a stained mattress

a good carpet and upholstery cleaner such as Resolve

    a damp white handtowel

Step1This works especially well with fresh stains, but I have had success with older stains as well.

Step2Shake can of cleaner if necessary and apply a nice coat of foam to entire area of stain. Allow foam to sit for a few moments or up to 5 minutes.

Step3Blot area with damp towel. Rinse towel in clean water, wring out well and blot area again. If needed repeat process until stain is gone.

I usually have success with one application.

  2. I would reccomend bleach.. if you want it to be cleann.. the matress that is. And for the comforter, if it's stained too.. off to the dry cleaners cause it's probably too big for a standard washing machine.. to ensure that it's clean and smells to your liking. I would recommend soaking some shout or looking for a specific urine remover from a super store like Wal-Mart for a smaller price.

  3. vinegar is a natural bleach... my mom always uses this when the cats have accidents... and when I was a little girl she used it then too. it's less abrasive and may not damage your mattress as much as a cleaner would.

  4. Steam cleaner. Will take the stain out, disinfect it and remove any smell. I bought one a few months ago primarily for cleaning my sofa but have used it to clean the carpets after my son weed on them (several times while potty training!) Also used it to clean carpet after spilling tea.... the one I bought cost around 100 pounds and is a Karcher. May seem like a lot of money, but I have found it invaluable as you can use it all over the house...cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, carpets, uphostery etc. Well worth the money... and no need to use any cleaning chemicals

  5. this might sound odd, but use pine sol to clean it...and wipe it off with a dry towel it will take the stain off and it woun't smell it works...i've tried it...my son is 2 years old and he has had those type of accidents...and in my bed..of course...good luck....

  6. Once you get it out........and that takes time........get yourself a waterproof mattress cover. You can add a second traditional cover over that if you think you might get sweaty....I don't.  This will not be the only time he has an accident, trust me.  He should have a water proof on his bed already.

  7. Try what Erika told you. If that doesn't work I'd rent a shampooer with an extractor to pull the water out. Once you get it clean and dry either cover with a plastic mattress protector under your mattress cover or don't allow your son to sleep in your bed.
