  1. Does it smell bad?

    Go back to the doctor.

  2. if there's unusual discharge, redness, or odor.  5 days may not be long enough, give it more time

  3. It's fine, it should fall off in about 2 or 3 more days. If it doesn't fall all the way off, you may want to try to get it off. Don't leave it on. I left it on my son when half of it came off, I was told to do this by the pedi, and now there's a piece of extra skin on the side and looks odd. The doc said it should go away on it's own tho.

  4. I don't approve of circumcision. Anyway, in general if it smells funny, or seems to be a funny colour, or there appears to be any discharge from the area, then it's probably infected. If in any doubt at all, take him to a doctor. That's not an area you want to mess with (well, more than you already have) and take a risk so if you suspect anything is wrong, better safe than sorry. Babies do die from the plastibell method.

  5. call your doctor, or better yet go see your doctor. you paid for the surgery. make sure.

dont listen to the anti circ storm troopers with all their gloom and doom.  you did the right thing.  They just want to make you feel bad.  More babies die from not being circumcised and getting urinary tract infections than from circumcision itself.

Join this group. they have over 1000 mom s with circumcised babies.  they are in the know.

  6. you need to contact the doctor, you've already done a lot of damage by circumcising, don't risk letting it do more damage then has already been done

why would you choose the plastibell method?, it would seem like the most painful way to do it, to just be there in pain for days from blood circulation being cut off

see the doctor don't torture your child any more

  7. Call your doctor! My boys were done with a Gomco, which there is no waiting for the f******n to fall off. My nephew was done with a plastibell, if I remember correctly it was 4-5 days before it fell off.

Is it black? It should be black as it kills the skin and it falls off.
