He is now 15 years old and is out of school more than in school, I always get calls to leave work and pick him up and now he is ordered to take behavior class in order to come back to school after his long term supension for the 2nd or 3rd time this year.

  1. No, you can't. You need to discipline him. A disorder/"behavior problem" is no excuse for what he's doing, especially if he's been suspended long-term 3 times this year!

  2. You would have to have documented proof that he has a mental disabilty, by way of doctors, therapist, etc. But it is a long process.

You mentioned he has been suspended 2 (or) 3 times this year. Has this been ongoing over the years or just this school year?

If just this year, I would be going to the school to find out why the sudden change in his behavior. There could be something going on at school that you are not aware of.

SSI is not the answer to HIS problems.

  3. No, but you need to get him help! Good Luck.

  4. You want to get the kid on the dole because you never bothered to teach him how to behave. That is deplorable.

  5. No, you can't get SSI because he's not listening.  He needs counseling.  If you can't get counseling, call your local police department and ask if they have a "Scared Straight" or "Tough Love" program.  That would be a great start.  Good luck hun :)

  6. no ssi is only for PHYSICAL or MENTAL

  7. You want to get a check because your son cannot behave in school? If he's got a mental handicap I would say yes, but he'd probably have to see a shrink before hand. Get your son some help, find out why he's acting the way he is.
