  1. it may be a canker sore, or herpes simplex....i'd go with the canker sore...eventually it will go away, have the child swish and or gargle with some salt water a few times a day for the next week. But if you are really in doubt see a doctor.

  2. I'm a medical student. What your describing is a mucocele , which occurs if you inadvertently bite your lower lip and severe a minor salivary gland in the lip. They normally feel like tiny bumps on the inside of your lip you can actually see them if you invert your lip  (turn it inside out) and stretch it.

When you bite through one, the saliva pools in the lip It can be clear or turn darker. It is nothing to worry about and goes away on its own after a few days, provided you don't keep biting it.

  3. This could be an ulcer or canker sore, but it would be best to have a doctor take a look if it doesn't go away.  I've provided a link below to some information about mouth blisters.  Included on the page are photos and different simple treatments.  If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, you should consider having him checked by a doctor.

Ulcers can be caused by a virus or a vitamin C deficiency.  Make sure he's getting enough vitamin C (from citrus fruits) and see if that helps to prevent these from recurring.

It is very common for children to get small blisters in their mouths occasionally, but if it persists, have it checked.

  4. I got those a lot when I was little. They can take up to 2, 3 weeks at the most. They're just sores inside his mouth...I'd recommend he brushes his teeth twice a day and he can put glycerin on it. You can find it at your local drug store it has a sweet taste so he won't mind it and put it on the sore.

  5. IF it appears to be several little blisters making up one it may be Herpes. If its one big one it may be a canker sore. My son used to bite his lip all the time and after awhile he would develop a canker looking sore. It would go way in about a week if he didn't bite on it anymore.
