  1. Xylophone

That would be easy for him to make too!

    Good luck!

  2. how about little hearts with x's and o's in them for kisses and hugs?  Our letter X day at preschool mostly consists of x-rays and xylophones as well but we do put stickers on of hearts with the x and o on them and explain to the children what that means.  Good luck - sounds like a fun project. I like the alphabet cereal idea!

  3. how bout a simple x- ray

it just has to look like and x ray

  4. Make a xylophone, or an X-ray machine.

  5. Go with the x-ray idea.  Find and print out a worksheet of the skeletal system.  Cut it out for him and help him paste it onto black paper.  Science, letters and time with mom!

  6. That's a tough one. But my son had that one too. I just drew an x on a piece of his fav color construction paper and then had him glue on the x's from the ABC's cereal. Covering the whole x. Good luck... You could also look up pictures of xylophones on the net......tiny ones and then glue them on to an x on a piece of construction paper.

  7. What about making an x with bones inside so it looks like the x has been x-rayed?  Does that make sense?  I wish I could draw a pic to explain what I meant.

  8. It has to START with that letter?  Not end with it?

I would double check that with the teacher, as it sounds like he/she made a mistake.  It seems like the letter "x" should be like it is at the end of the letter when you are teaching children the sounds.  (Which are they going to learn to write first---box or xylophone?)

If you can put it at the end, try cutting up a box and using that.

    Matt

  9. play a bunch of tic-tac-toe, cut out the Xs and use them.

  10. Why not get some pictures of an X-ray or take some old X-rays you may have from the past and make the letter X from those, by just cutting and pasting.

  11. criss cross two xylephones....

  12. hm

  13. What a stupid assignment for a preschooler. Sorry, it just irritates me when little ones have to do something so developmentally age inappropriate. This assignment is really for the parents. How ridiculous. Anyway that is my rant, and it doesn't help you with any ideas. I think the others gave you great ideas. I like the one using xrays to form the letter x.

  14. A Xerox copy of anything is easiest.

  15. take an old xylophone apart and make an X with the colored things that you hit (i forgot what they're called)

  16. If you wanted to take a short cut, you could Xerox (brand) white typing paper.

  17. You could check with a local hospital, doctor, or dentist office and see it they have any scrap x-ray pictures. Cut them in strips and make the X out of them.

  18. Raidroad crossing!!
