  1. i think you did all the right things i had this happen under my fingernail a few years ago and it started hurting after about a week but it dosent get infected and should fall out soon just dont where tight socks or shoes.

  2. I think you did all the right things, most parents don't bother putting on neosporin so kudos to you on that.

I would see a doctor if it starts to look infected, just in case, but my guess is that you will be alright.

  3. if doesn't hurt, he will be all right,

in a few days the  wood piece will descompose or the skin will be soft enough to le the piece  of wood fell of.

neosporin is a good idea, will prevent to catch an infection,

jut check his toe every day in case it becomes purple or dark,

if there is any signs of infection take him to the dr.

  4. you are keeping it clean and took care to put antibiotic cream on it.

Believe it or not, he's going to lose the splinter.  It will grow out with the toenail and just come out.

I've had splinters under my fingernails and they came out with the nail as it grew.

As long as you care for any open sore that may exist currently then he has very little chance of a bad infection.  Keep an eye on it and if it starts getting red, swolen, or oddly yellow-ish then I'd seek more help, but wash it with peroxide and keep the neosporin on there and he'll be good.

It'll be far enough out in about a week that you may be able to pull it out then.

  5. You are a good mother, see Doc if it looks real bad !!,good luck
