  1. It's normal and he will grown out of it.  My now 6yo daughter at the age of 4 had an imaginary friend (or as she put it, a *clear* friend) and that friend went everywhere with her.  When she started kindergarten, the friend went away.

  2. Let him continue to have one. I had an imaginary friend when I was five. Many children have imaginary friends. Especially only children. I'man only child. I think it's to have someone when your not with friends.

  3. I had 2 imaginary friends when I was a kid. It started around age 5 and I remember playing with them until I was about 7. My mom was really cool and just let me go on playing with them.  It made me feel weird like a freak when my big brother would tease me about them. I had a very vivid imagination back then and I would play for hours on end with them. In my head I created 2 awesome friends to play & they always wanted to play what I did, LOL. I even took them to Disney World with me and my mom told me I would talk to them in public. Let him be a kid and don't ruin his fun, they are only little for a short time.

  4. Leave it as it is. He'll grow out of it. Its normal. Also, hes an only child so he probably feels really lonely. Thats might be the reason. He just feels lonely.

  5. nothing!!!! let him discover the other kids by himself. I had 1 and now i have like 20 friends
