  1. All colleges/schools etc should a person called a Special Educational Needs Coordinator or similar who is there to discuss idssues like this and help you to plan ffor exams and things.

I personally have ME And whenever I have exams I get exnteded time, I can have audio equipment and someone who can give support. But I know different places and have different rules so best thing to do is contact them....

else try your local parent partnership group which you should get hold of through the council.

  2. If your son has  a statement of educational special needs then he will be entitled to a reader and scribe. They can read exactly what is on the examination paper, they then have to write down exactly what he says. There should also be an independant invigilator in the room to ensure this.

Every school or college has a SENCO, find out who his is then ask for extra support.

  3. just make sure you have all the services that you need!!

how old is he? age makes a difference in this case

  4. He should talk to his course organiser and request special consideration. In schools in the UK pupils with recognised and properly diagnosed learning problems can be given this for external exams, and may be allowed some of the following: extra time, use of a computer (no internet access!), someone to read the paper for them, or someone to write the answers they dictate.

  5. in the uk your son can be assigned a person who can write his test for him as he speaks his answers and he gets extra time depending on the particularities of his dyslexia. im sorry if ur in the usa, im not sure how it workd over there

  6. Ask your SENCO, you may have to really really push for support, but keep pushing.

  7. dont worry....he is a terson poo
