  1. i dont know how to anser thaat but i would say buy any eye patch and  make your son where dark glasses oon top of it almost no 1 can see it

  2. You don't say how old he is, but maybe this site will have something he wouldn't mind wearing as much...

    http://www.patchpals.com/patches.htm

  3. we have the same problem.  My daughter hates the band-aid patch.  It really stands out she gets upset because people keep asking whats wrong with her eye.  the other black pirate one doesn't fit under her classes.  We went to disneyland and had forgot the sticky patches so we bought a pirate patch from pirates of the carribian we also bought her a pirate hat and ear ring.  No one bugged her about the patch and she was happy pretending to be a pirate.  Unfortunately that won't work outside of disneyland.  I found a bunch of websites that sell custom patches and my daughter likes them better then the band-aid one from the store.  i suggested maybe using some scarfs to match her clothes we will see how that works.  Well good luck and if you have any ideas let me know

  4. I had to wear a patch when I was a child too and went through various other treatments as well.  I wore the kind with the adhesive from the store and hated it.  The patch pals site sounds great and I wish it had been around when I was a child.  You may also consider having your son decorate the patch himself and turn it into a fun activity for both of you.  The other thing I suggest is explaining to him as best you can why the patching is necessary.  My parents and my doctor only told me that I had to wear the patch and did not really explain why.  Kids tend handle things a little better if they have some understanding about why they are being asked to do something.

Good Luck and I hope the the vision in his weaker eye improves.
