My son is 10 in fourth grade. At school in the morning kids are starting to punch with their knuckles.?

He just informed me. He has been taken to school reciently by his step mom and his dad works. He has not shared the info with them.

right now they take him to school, they are not communicative with me, the mom.

Just want some thoughts as to what best choices might be for me, have to do something.

he is your son.!  you have to put everything aside and communicate with the stepmom and the dad as a responsible parent.  be adult about it . if they wont do anything about it , then go to the school and make complaints and put an end to it.

Sorry that is typical behavior for that age, if the adults in this child's life can't act like adults you can talk to the teacher or school administrator yourself, you ARE his mother.;you should know that this will only make him a bigger target from the other kids.

It is better to teach your child how to deal with the situation to whatever your family values are. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to discuss values and morals and how your family implements them.  I think it is better to deal with issues within the family then turning them over to schools, teachers and administrators.

There is usually a suggestion box in the office where you can leave an anonymous tip.   If the boys are friends, punching in a playful way then he shouldn't tattle.  If it's being done in a bullying way, then he all he can do is speak up and tell them not to do that with a mean look.  Have him practice his mean look in the mirror, saying back off.  Teachers and other kids don't like tattlers.

Are they punching knuckle to knuckle? Thats a dumb game boys play called Bloody Knuckles, they choose to play so there isnt anything you could do about that.  Are these kids punching him with their knuckles?  Tell the school and his dad.  This is not something that should eb happening.
