He has no skills to help him in getting a job nor can I expect him to live with me for the rest of his life. he is capable, but unwilling. I am looking for a live-in help with social skillls. and assistance with daily living so he can live some sort of life. Are there any programs available for this situation? any other help would be apprecated. I am a single Mom since he was 6 and I just cant do it anymore. HELP

  1. in the us ther are social serive agencies taht help---he needs to be registerd with teh division of developmental disabilities inyour state--they will help him get supported employment-anything from from a 'workshop' for people with developmental disabilities to a mainstream job with support.

  2. There are many places that could help.  It all depends where you are located.  I could list some but it would be pointless if you live far away from them.

  3. Woodrow Wilson in Fishersville VA is an EXCELLENT rehab program for anyone with any kind of disability and its kind of like a college. Also get him SSI if he is capable of getting it....it took my parents 4-6 months to get me qualafad for it!
