  1. Take every bottle in your house and put it away. Completely out of sight

There will be a fight, be ready.

Try new toddler foods that he hasn't ever had before.  Saying how he's a big boy now and babies don't get to eat these new great foods.  I don't know what he already eats, but mine loved things that were cut into shapes if it was new.  Try getting him a brand new cup, with designs on it.  Something special, maybe some neat new silverwear.

Good luck.  The bottle is a hard thing to make it go away.

  2. Take the nipple and put it on a cup. Avent nipples fit on sippy cups.

Sorry my hubby was talking to me. i should've finished. That is the way to transition into cups. you should not take away a bottle cold turkey for it is probably a comfort thing. Let him get used to the cup with nipple then switch to normal top.

  3. Have him help you throw them in the trash outside.  (not in the house where you or he may be tempted to take them out) Every time he asks for it remind him "Remember, they went bye bye in the trash because you are a big boy".

Try not to make any other big changes for at least a couple of weeks, you don't want to throw too much at him at once.

Just remember once you say it, you can't go back or next time it will be twice as hard.  Good luck!

  4. THE BOTTLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN AWAY AT  A YEAR. TRY GIVEN HIM SIPPY CUPS DURNING THE DAY AND BOTTLE AT NIGHT IF HE STILL WAKES UP. IF SLEEPS THREW NIGHT THEN ALTERNATE FROM SIPPY TO BOTTLE DURING THE DAY. WHEN DOING WELL WITH SIPPY START GIVING IT MORE OFTEN AND EVENTUALY WILL BE OFF BOTTLE ALTOGETHER.
