said it ok to send back to him back preschool tommorow , do you think i should keep in at home he is ok he eats and drinks

Call the preschool and ask if they will ALLOW him to come back first.  They may not want him there until he is over being sick.

call the pediatrician and ask.  it depends on the child's state of health and the daycare's sick policy.

To be honest Ray i would send him back when he is better like i do when my kids are ill its not really fair on the other children your little one especially with a bad cough x

You should really give the medication a full 24 hours to take effect. You would probably be upset if you knew that a mother from your preschool sent their son/daughter with chickenpox, strep, or any other contagous illness. Your son may need a little down time. Best wishes!
