My son is 4 1/2 months old he eats every 3 -4 hours is that normal?

He sleeps through the night just fine though and the Dr told me that i dont have to start feeding him solids until the formula doesn't fill him through the night. ( i will be done working in 3 weeks so i was going to start him on baby rice then)

my daughter is a bit younger than yr son. im on my second child it is normal for him to still be feeding they say not to start weaning until they are 6mnths now my daughter is 15wks and was 10wks prem and she feeds like your son and sleeps through the night. as long as he is gaining weight well than i wouldnt be worried. hope this helps!!

Yep, it can be normal.  I have a 41/2 month old too (3-14-08)  he still eats every 4 hours.  he normally sleeps thru the night but must be going thru a growing spurt because he has been feeding the last couple nights at 4 hours also.  Once you start solids it should help but every baby is different.  He will eat when he is hungry
