  1. yes. babies eat every 2-3 hours and they eat until they're full. just feed him when he wants and how much he wants. he's doing very well.

  2. Sounds like a bit too much. If you keep feeding them that often their stomach will probably get used to it. I would think that every 3 to 4 hours is a little more common. But then again, he may just have a fast metabolism. Try either giving him 6 oz at one time, then waiting a longer period, or just dragging them out a bit longer to see if you can stretch it. But it doesn't sound extremely abnormal.

  3. Every two hours is perfectly normal.  My son nursed every 2 hours, almost on the hour.  At night he would go a little longer (thank goodness!).  Sounds like a healthy baby boy!

  4. Ummm...yes why wouldn't it be he's a great eater.

  5. yes, every two hours is normal.

  6. Normal.  Our son starting taking 4oz/feeding (it was breastmilk though) when he was only a month old (every 2 - 2.5 hr).  He did gain weight quite rapidly (more doubling his weight at 2.5 months). Now at 3 months, he feeds 5oz / 3 hrs and the weight gain is not as quick (which is also normal).

  7. yup this is fine...babies will not overeat or under eat

    good luck and congrats

  8. Yep, totally normal. My little one is 7 weeks also but only taking 3-5 ounces every 3-4 hours. They are all different and have their own appetites :) As long as babies are averaging about an ounce per hour, anything more is great ( and they are going to want more the bigger they get!)

  9. Oh yes very normal. Sounds like a very healty eater.  Don't worry a baby won't eat too much.  They will stop when they are full and cry for more if they need more.

  10. Its not bad and all baby's are different so for him it may be normal. It might be a little hard  for you to go out or get anything done if he is eating every 2 hours so try giving him a little more at every feeding so it will last longer. I have had the same problem with my 5 month daughter. She is a little one, only having 3oz every three hours but sometimes when she will take the 4th oz I find that she waits longer in between feedings.
