My son is celebrating his 4th bday this weekend. Any party ideas?

My little one is turning 4, where did the time go? We are having the party at my parent's house. Doing it around 4:30pm, having a bbq. They have a very large yard and a pool. We got him a John Deere Gator, but his party is a Spiderman theme. I would love ideas for food and games/activities. We're also doing a bonfire that evening with fireworks. I can't wait!

Either a bounce house..

or if you know anyone that can do pony rides that was a big hit with my 5 year old one year. We had a small yard and the kids had all kind of turns and they talked about that party for at least a week!  Its the perfect combination of an animal they rarely see and a chance to actually ride it!

My son had a Spider Man party when he turned 3.  We got a bunch of cans of non - toxic Silly String and let the kids have a "spider web" fight.  It was a huge hit; the kids loved it!

Well you mentioned a big back yard, ever think of pony rides or even a moon bounce or get colored sand and alot of different shaped bottles and let them fill up the bottles with the different colored sand or color pictures of spider-man?

Games: red light, green light. Limbo, do a hand toss game with small bean bags and hoops. Get door prizes from like the dollar store or something to give to the winners. Get water balloons and have the kids partner up an they have to toss it to each other and who's ever ball on lasts the longest wins!

  Food:Your having a BBQ so of course most people do hamburgers and hot dogs. You could have boneless chicken wings. Alot of kids like to get messy. :)  Corn on the cob. potato or macaroni salad. Drinks! If your having a bonfire you migh want to think about doing s'mores for the kids as well. Have fun at the party! :)
