i asked this question last night, but i only got 2 answers so i decided to ask again.

my son is 3 1/2 months and he's teething, which im sure of. i see his gums white and swollen, but it's the canine teeth. i heard that it's really strange for them to get those teeth first, is that true? what teeth did your child get first? is this something that i should be worried about? i'm kind of confused...its my first baby.

  1. My daughter got her 2 bottom ones 1st but her cousin (who is now a year old) got her canine teeth first. Her mother had had them come in 1st  as well when she was a child so maybe someone in your family has had them come in that way..but don't worry about it, it will be fine hers came in a little tilted but as soon as the other teeth came in they all straightened out.

  2. Weird, I just asked a similar question. My son got the bottom 2 front teeth first. Good luck

  3. NORMAL .....NORMAL,,,,, NORMAL.. OK  HE WILL PREFER 2 MEAT. CANINE TEETH R 4 TEARING FOOD, USUALLY NON VEG. DR HARJIT

  4. he's a vampire...ahhh...RUN!!!!!!

  5. Are you talking about vampire fangs? Haha ya my 8 month old just got those 2 weeks ago--they are his first. I think it's really weird too. My oldest got his bottom teeth first.

I find it rather amusing that his first tooth picture he's going to look like a vampire!!

I wouldn't worry, while its not the "normal" teeth they get first, it's still normal. He'll get all of them eventually!!

  6. My mother tells me my canine came in first.

  7. he's a vampire don't let him bite you.

i'm joking, you shouldn't be worried unless you did it with a dog, haha i'm joking again.

really there's nothing to be worried about. whichever tooth comes down is whichever tooth comes down. don't let him bite you it's gonna hurt!!

  8. I'm a first time mom, and although it's not common, I don't think it's an issue.  My son got his bottom 2 first.  I thought he was teething for MONTHS, but his teeth didn't come in until after his 1st birthday.

  9. that is really odd.  typically the bottom middle 2 teeth come in first.  then the two middle top.  then surrounding teeth come in.  but not the canines.  I would take him to the ped to be sure it's not an abcess of some sort?

  10. my daughter had this happen, but the canines just pooped out, they never dropped down, my doctor said it was the bud of the tooth. they are still there, sticking out, but still haven't dropped down, if that makes sense. she has gotten 7 others in the mean time!

there is no real pattern, hers did not come in the order they were supposed to, and none of my friends kids did either.

  11. If he is really teething, it is odd but not unheard of to cut those teeth first.  I will say if your just feeling bumps and swollen gums that is totally normal and not teething, but ridges on the gums.
