  1. I would write what's in your heart. That way,it's what you truly feel and not something someone else wrote.

Take a sheet of paper and write on it first, then enter it in the book when you're satisfied with what you've wrote.

Congrats and may they have a lovely wedding and a long beautiful life together.

  2. Write from your heart thats what counts. Your own words are so much better than someone elses.

    Enjoy the day

  3. Congratulations to your son and your family first of all. This is my favorite and will be a reading at my wedding:

    William Shakespeare: Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments. Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds

Or bends with the remover to remove.

O, no, it is an ever fixed mark

That looks on tempests and is never shaken,

It is the star to every wandering bark,

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come,

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom:

If this be error, and upon me proved,

I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

  4. You could write a poem but a message from the heart will mean a lot more.

No matter how good you can write if you give reference to how proud of him you are and how much you love him then he will get the message.  You are there for him on his most special day and thats what counts, you will also get plenty of opportunities to tell him what he means to you on the day, especially as you sit there in tears watching him!

    Good luck x

  5. My favorite love/wedding poem is "The Key to Love."   You can find it on this blog - http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/09/05/the...

  6. Why don't you just write something heartfelt about how proud of him you are, and how you wish him and his wife all the happiness in the world.  Also, here's a fun quote for you- "May your saddest day together be better than your happiest day apart."

  7. I don't have time to look on all of the sites right now, but if you google up wedding poems, you'll find a LOT of neat ideas, which might help. Also try the keywords, poem for son's marriage. There are some great sites with wonderful poems, ideas, etc. about love and marriage, and even some specifically for the son, from the mom. Good luck! I hope it's a wonderful day for you all :O)

    Art of Marriage

The little things are the big things.

It is never being too old to hold hands.

It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day.

It is never going to sleep angry.

    It is at no time taking the other for granted;

the courtship should not end with the honeymoon,

it should continue through all the years.

It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.

It is standing together facing the world.

It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.

It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude

    of duty or sacrifice,

but in the spirit of joy.

It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating

    gratitude in thoughtful ways.

It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or the wife to have wings of an

    angel.

It is not looking for perfection in each other.

It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a

    sense of humor.

It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.

It is giving each other an atmosphere in

    which each can grow.

It is finding room for the things of the spirit.

It is a common search for the good and

    the beautiful.

It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and

    the obligation is reciprocal.

It is not only marrying the right partner,

it is being the right partner.

or if you want something more religious, I love this one:

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  8Love never fails.
