My son is going to Randwick in Austalia?

My son is going there for six months and would like to know any info on the places of interest and the night life? Also is there anything he shouldn't do and anything he should be doing? Doesn't want to offened the locals, he's a marine and they like to party as we know but still local customs are important.

Just be himself and he will get along fine - we Aussies are a good bunch and if he is a good Bloke, we will know and he will get along fine. He should make friends easily and the rest will follow.

Randwick is only a short bus drive away from Moore Park and Bondi Junction.

Moore park has La Premiere Cinema which is awesome! You can have snacks/dinner and drinks which watching the movie and the cinema also has a bar.

There are also a few nice restaurants there - Cine (italian) Fox and Lion.. etc

Bondi Junction has every shop you can think of and loads of nice places to eat!

Darling Harbour has a good night life - my fave bars are Cargo Bar and Bungalow 8. Anywhere in the city is very crowded on Fri-Sat nights though.

you wont find a place better than that im living there since i was born.he will love there its a nice lovely place whith only 20 min to the city.

we will take care of him he will enjoy his 6 months

There is a racecourse there, and as for the locals he wont offend them, the ozzies are great.

And he wont be far from Bondi Beach.

Always plenty to do in Oz.

for nightlife - check out the rocks, pubs are great there. there's plenty in the city too. also in darling harbour there's nightclubs. there's plenty to do...he'll just have to hang out with a bunch of aussies and he'll be alright!

Theres plenty to do in Sydney...night life is hot in the city....randwick is like 15-20 mins away from the city....make sure he climbs the harbour bridge and go on a ferry ride around the harbour!!!
