My son is going to mexico with his great uncle...?

they have the same last name and look similar. my son has a valid passport. what else do i need to do for him to leave the country? i heard about a notorized letter if i do need that what should it say? and how should it be signed? grandpa is dropping him off in michigan (we are in the eastern part of ohio) any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. My son went in January...Rachel has it right...I sent two copies too...just in case. I also sent a medical consent form, not that you need one in Mexico but just in case anything happened and he had to get back to the states for medical care...better safe than sorry.


  2. i went to mexico with my friend and her mother this past march and all i needed was my passport and the notarized letter saying that my parents gave the mother permission to take me, google notarized letters and there will be lots of examples also you can take the letter to your bank to get notarized. my parents got two just in case i lost one.
