  1. If you can, switch schools and find a better environment for him.  This is not always an option, however.

  2. i have the same problem with my son he is in 4th grade. i did try every thing that you can think and not think of. you need to work with him and see why is he getting distracted. the first thing i did that i took him to the Dr and made sure that he does not have ADD or ADHD. the only thing that worked for my son is his teacher moved his table away from the window now he has his back to the window, the second  thing that was good for him is at test time he sets in a booth with ear plugs on to make him focus on his test. hop this help

  3. this is the tinme you need to watch him!! alot of my friends got left back in 3rd grade and in 4th grade!!!! im in 9th grade!! they get tortured and wish they could go back 2 b4!!!

tell him youll buy him somethin if he behaves in school! most likely in his age, he likes pokemon cards, DS GAMES, and etc... thats what my nephew likes!

i surely doubt it that theyll fail him FOR TALKING!!! and PLAYING AROUND!!!! but make sure he dosent get distracted!

ask his teacher to make you a note every week to see if hes getting distracted!

if it says hes doing good, then buy him a couple of packs of pokemon cards!

  4. You need to get him evaluated to find out why he is like this...ADHD? Whatever the problem is find out for his sake.

  5. Ask the teacher to set him off a little on his own when he starts to get friendly. I was the same way and for me it was more of school was too easy. Ask the teacher if he starts socializing after an assignment is finished. I used to breeze through my assignments so I could talk. I would score Bs and Cs and when I took tests I would always get As because I took my time. My mother finally asked my teachers to assign extra worksheets or allow me to read books after assignments to keep me occupied. It really helped my grades and I LOVE to read now!
