Can you tell me how many years he needs to be in college, yearly icome, and how much money do i need to pay for his college fund.

  1. Anesthesiologists are physicians.

    Your son first needs a college degree, and while he is working on that, he needs to take some medical school pre-requisite courses.  He will need to maintain a GPA of about 3.7 to even be considered for medical school.  Near the end of college, he will take the MCAT, which is a med school admissions test.

    He then needs to spend 4 years in medical school.  After graduation form medical school, he needs to be accepted into an anesthesia residency program.

    You're looking at 8 years of college.  State schools are cheaper than private ones, but I'd budget about $40,000/yr.  Eight years of that = $320,000.  Financial aid is available, though.
