He is 3 years old and has curly hair. When you wet it it goes down to the small of his back. I don't know if I want to keep it long like that or cut it short. I was thinking a type of bob with short bangs since he doesn't like hair in his face. I'm not planning on doing this until its almost time for him to start either kindergarten or first grade.

  1. he will be ok either way.

  2. why dont you just get it braided..tht is soooo cute on lil boys ^_^...orrrr buzz cut...orrr a high and tight

but long hair is sooo adorable on lil boys...also,try askin him if he wants to keep his hair or not

  3. I love the 'bob' / mop top haircut on little curly haired boys. You can still keep it 'long' but in a more socially acceptable 'boy' style.

I cut my kids hair in bangs so they can see - even though I like their bangs long -- you might just trim around his face so it's not in his eyes.... I think at that age you have to be practical, but we still get to dress up our little dolls and pick what we like as far as style!!

My son is blonde, 2 1/2 and I love his long curly hair - but I plan on cutting it to a more traditional 'boy' style when he gets to the age when he notices the difference between boys and girls - "boys have short hair, girls have long hair".... and I don't want him to be left out because he is different - or the kids say he's a girl, etc.

If your son is around other kids - I'd cut his hair sooner rather than later.

  4. buzz cut

  5. I think short is definitely the way to go. since it is curly you'll prob. need to go shorter than a bob to keep it from being frizzy and poufy! Also - there are hygienic reasons to do it - on occasion when kids are in school they past around lice (thankfully this has not happened to my kids) but i know keeping shorter hair helps to prevent catching it as it is not draping around and allowing the chance for something to hop/crawl onto it. (teaching your children not to share hats/combs helps too, obviously, but the shorter the better!)

  6. Actually, I suggest you try the haircut now. That way if you don't like it, you have time for it to grow out a bit before school starts. No point in having preschool pictures with a bad haircut.

  7. why not try shag hairstyle
