Question:

My son is not a full time student untill Next spring. I need to get him on my companies Insurance, any help?

I just got a new job that has company benifits. My son doesnt return to school untill next spring. right now he is taking online coarses but is still not a full time student, and i believe that insurance requires him to be. is there any loopholes i can jump through to get him on my plan? i am desperate here :(

  1. If your plan requires a dependent your son's age to be a full time student, then the only way you can have him on your plan is for him to be a full time student.  There are no loopholes.

    If you're that desperate for him to be covered, his best option is to enroll full time next semester rather than waiting until the spring.  Sorry.


  2. Depends on your specific insurance plan.  Consult that.

  3. If he isn't a full time student, he doesn't qualify, until he becomes one again.  There is no loophole.  Sorry.
