  1. he might be constipated or it could be a dietary cahnge or mild intestinal bug. Have you added anything different to his diet or has he been on any medications? my kids have done stuff like this before without any apparent medical cause. I would watch him for signs of illness(like abdominal pain, vomiting and fever) and constipation and make sure hes getting enough fluids but I wouldn't worry about it right now. you can call the ped about it, if they are concerned they'll have you bring him in.

wanted to add that my sons p**p changed color after eating a bunch of fruit loops once. He snuck the bag up to his room. I don't know how much he ate before I caught him but his poo stunk and was a funny color of green for a few days

  2. Was he eating a ton of blueberries recently? lol

It is most likely something that he's eating. My daughter gets some funky poops sometimes.

If you're worried, though, you can just call your pediatrician's office and ask. =D

  3. My daughter gets green poops after drinking a lot of fruit juice or eating lots of fruit, or after eating a certain type of frosted cookie (almost looks like play-doh then lol) If he drinks a lot of fruit juice, try to dilute it a little with water, or just don't give him juice for a day or two,l that way you know whether that's what caused it. They go through phases when the p**p is worse than at other times. Good luck!

  4. Might sound strange...but this happened to me during pregnancy and I (finally) figured out it was from the iron supplements!!  Is your son consuming more iron than usual?

  5. whats his age.... it could be a stage if he young enough (<1 yr.) otherwise you need to take him to the doctor... call first and ask if they will need a sample to test... if so... next diaper use tweezers to put some in an empty film canister to take to the appointment... they will tell you what you want to know...
