  1. yeah...sounds like he may be a big baby for his age...my son was wearing 12-18 months by that age and he had similiar problems...the only thing you can really do is try to entice him to roll over on his own - be it for a bottle or a toy or anything he may really want!! He may cry if he thinks you will pamper him and help him...you have to let him do it! Those baby floor mats with the mobiles and other gadgets are great for enticing them with play....let him roam around on the floor more often...so that he will want to move around and investigate - this usually motivates them to be more playful and physical on their own.

My pediatrician gave me some of that advise...it worked for me - I was terrible for not wanting to let him have to do anything that I felt may have seemed difficult for him...and I would help him or do it for him - not a good thing for them! They have to do it on their own without help - it's part of the growing pains for both baby and mommy (if you are like me, I mean)....it will only get harder for him as he gets bigger if you don't try to tempt him to more movement...

    Hope that helps!

*** This was just my own personal experience with my son (who was on the larger side) lol...wasn't intended to offend anyone! Just offering my own experience with this matter....that's all!

  2. If he is doing other things for his age than I wouldn't worry TO much about it.  If he was early that would maybe make a difference too...Or maybe he's just content with either being on his tummy or back and doesn't want to roll!

  3. Just give him time. He'll be able to do it by himself soon. Don't worry.
