  1. darn, hucklebee said what I was going to say.

Why would you want your son to give up a fully lucrative, respectable career in electrical engineering in order to fly? Do you realize it'll be many many years before he begins to make, as a pilot, the same amount of money he'll make as an entry level engineer?

Let him work in the engineering field, and let him take flying lessons and earn some ratings first.

  2. no, the engineering degree says he cant become a pilot anymore. read the fine print on the bottom.

  3. There is nothing preventing him from being a Commercial pilot. In India any degree and elementary mathematical knowledge would be sufficient for CPL. Looks like your son is overqualified.

However, I'd advise a rethought. After spending nearly 4 years on a technically challenging course, it would be strange if he shifts to such a different role.
