  1. thats normal.

  2. well my friend wore pullups to bed till he was 11. and he is normal now. so he will grow out of it.

  3. Have you tried just letting him wear regular under ware not pull-ups he will wet himself but his under ware will be wet and they hate that wet felling..  Then take him to the bathroom let the water run that will make him want to pee and really brag on how proud he peed in the potty,

  4. He should not even be out of the gate at 5 years of age.

  5. I did till i was about 6 hahaha!

  6. i would say so yes take him to the doctor thats the best advice going!

  7. I would check with his pediatrician... Sounds like there might be a good reason why he wets himself.

  8. pop his butt, let him no that its wrong and you dont do that.. he will be starting school in the next year or so you dont want them calling you to pick him everyday...

  9. its a control thing for him, and he will continue doing it until he sees it as not being good......as for the underlying problem, he could be teased to much for it, or something he sees as a threat could be causing it...may want to talk to his dr.  for he could just have a weak bladder...other than that, i have no ideas, for it took us forever for our daughter to quit it

  10. When I was a kid I used to wet my pants a lot.  I did it all the time until I was like 8.  I remember peeing in my pants one time at 12 and being sent home from school.   The kids made fun of me.  But I stopped doing it and turned out fine.  I am not sure how you stop it.

  11. My brother wet the bed until he was 10 but that's cos our mum died so he had a good reason.

Not sure about 5.  Is there something bothering him that you may not know about? maybe have a little chat but in a playful lighthearted way.

If you're that worried though is there a health visitor at your surgery that you could talk to?

  12. You are saying he wets himself during the day. you can expect a few accidents, but everyday that is either lazyness, or there is a problem. try a prize if he stays dry, try this for a few days, if nothing changes then maybe the docs.

    just a thought

    good luck RR

  13. He may just be too busy playing to care that he has wet himself. He may just keep holding it until it is to late. have you tried reminding him through out the day?

It wouldn't hurt to bring it up with his pediatrician.

At some point he will realize that he is the only one still wetting himself and feel embarrassed. My 4 yr. old DD still will wet herself on occasion while playing. Sometimes they just have to out grow it.

  14. He is just being lazy, my 5yr old went through a stage of this.

I stopped him playing out and said if you wanna act like a baby you should be treated like one.

Threaten him with nappys and tell him all his friends are big boys and dont wet.

He will soon stop good luck

  15. This happens sometimes, someday he'll grow out of it.

  16. it normal for a child to wet his bed up to the age of 14 but you should work on him running around in wet pants

  17. My son could not control himself and would wet himself any time he got excited or turned on a faucet until he was 5.  He did not wet the bed from the time he was out of diapers, at age 2 1/2.  My girls get out of diapers at age 2, but wet the bed for years.  Go figure.  Rest assured, they do not start school in diapers.
